Have you ever really thought of the many ways
in which God works through women in the Bible?
We are always thinking of Paul, John, Peter . . .
and somehow forgetting Rachel, Mary, Martha . . .
and the others. Read their stories and you will be
captivated by God's love, faithfulness and grace.
Do you know these women?
If not, read their stories . . .
and tuck God's Word away
in your heart!
Who begged her sister for some mandrakes, hoping they would help her bear children?
(Genesis 30:14)
Who was the first women to tell Jesus she believed he was the Messiah?
(John 11:24-27)
What courageous woman risked her life to keep her royal nephew alive?
(2 Kings 11:2-3)
What woman, once possessed by demons, was the first to see the risen Christ?
(John 20:14)
Who had her conversation with Jesus interrupted by his disciples, who criticized him for speaking with a woman?
(John 4:27)
What woman had such an influential life that Israel had 40 years of peace?
(Judges 5:31)
Who anointed Jesus feet with precious ointment?
(John 12:3)
What woman was capable enough to instruct the brilliant Apollos in theology?
(Acts 18:26)
What devout woman was described by Paul as "our sister" and "a servant of the church?"
(Romans 16:1-2
What doting mother made her absentee son a new coat each year?
(1 Samuel 2:19)
Whatever we face, we have His Power for the Task . . .
Women often times don't feel the power because we are not recognizing who we are in Him. Oh, I pray that you and I will allow the Holy Spirit to fill us to overflowing . . .
" . . . . and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."
Acts 4:31
As Jesus told His disciples of the Holy Sprit, in John 14:17, he said, "For He dwells with you and will be in you."
We need to understand that all we need for victory in this world is within us - the Holy Spirit!
