I'll be there...

        Life's storms will come
        The winds will blow.
And even if I wish it so...

I cannot stop what you must face,
        for plans are made,
        Some call it fate.

Just as you can count on cares
that bluster in like fall's cool air....
I want you in your heart to know
        that I'll be there....
        when cold winds blow.

I'll be there to warm and comfort you,
        in thunderstorms or morning dew.
For we are friends and those are few.

I count you as a special breeze
that brings a smile and rustles leaves...
upon the tree of life you're there,
to help me carry strife and care.

Like leaves, clinging to the tree,
That's the way it is with you and me.
When winds do blow and thunder cracks...
it's but a test. We do not lack.

Our friendship weathers all the tests
and comes out stronger, ... never less.

No matter what winds blow your way

        I'll be there....
        and you know I'll stay.
