Take my hand . . .

As rapid waters swirl about
and I feel so all alone,
there is but One who extends His hand.
One who pulls me onto solid stone.

My heart knows that I have only
to call His name.
And nothing around me,
nothing in my life
will ever be the same.

I've heard it before and I
know it is true.
And yet I allow earthly things
to do with me as they wish to do.

Where is my faith,
when life's waters rage?
Why can't I remember
the names on the page?

Call me, He tells me.
And I will be there.
Call me and know there's
no reason to fear.

The light of the world, the good shepherd, the Word.
King of Kings, Lord of Lords.
each name it is heard.

Rose of Sharon, the vine,
The Alpha, the Omega, beginning and end.
Lily of the valleys, the Lion.
. . . the Gift God did send.

The good shepherd,
who for his sheep, lays down His life.
Judge, Lamb of God,
and to the world He is light.

He won't leave you . . .
He's waiting to hear just one call.
Each name that is given . . .
He'll answer them all.

Write the names on your heart,
so they'll ever be on your lips.
And His word's? They are waiting . . . at your fingertips.

God made it so easy,
to come to His side.
With each name you can call Him,
and in your heart He'll reside.

"Take my hand precious Lord . . . Lead me on."
