But when she was there
you felt so warm . . .
so protected and loved. You had no doubt . . .

She almost glowed . . .
for she lit up a room.
Always knowing what to say . . . .
and what to do.
Was she a friend?
Or could she possibly be . . .
an angel God sent to comfort you.

Friends or Angels . . . I often ask.
When I think of all who have passed.
Something they have done . . .
or someone they have touched
brought a memory that will forever last.

It may have been but only a brief moment . . .
or it may have been throughout the years.
I may have shared just a smile . . . .
or with her, shed an ocean full of tears.


Did I thank her for her kindness?
Was there thoughtfulness in me?
Oh, don't let the moment pass me by . . .
To tell her what she means.

For friend or angel . . .
They're all so much the same.
They both flutter all about my life . . .
and I know from where they came.

An angel? Well, it's not for me to say.
Only the One who sent her knows with certainty.
There is no way my heart will see
the 'wings' that brought her here to me.

But I do hear them softly fluttering . . .
as they pass my heart and touch my soul.
Friend or Angel . . . it matters not.
For they are more valuable than gold.

May I take the time to be for you . . .
what you have been for me.
To answer when I hear the call . . .
though it may come so silently.

To be a friend is nothing more or less . . .
than God's touch upon our days.
He sends each one - to comfort us . . .
and help us along our way.

God sent you and I thank Him, . . . each and every day.
For a friend like you . . . an angel,
Let's face together ~ come what may.
