The pounding of my heart
brings me the assurance of His love.
It tells me He has placed me here
to receive what He gives from above.

I hear the sound of mighty power . . .
and the softness of the sea breeze touches my face.
For I am standing on the very shore with Him . . .
and all around me is a peaceful place.

. . . I cannot conceive of it! Grace! Unconditional love! How can You possibly love me, when I live with so much of myself and have left so little room for You?

My God, my God, help me to accept your continued presence in my life. And with that presence comes your grace.
It is there whether I believe it or not. It is there!
I picture myself standing on the shore of a vast ocean, watching the waves. One by one, they come rolling in. Big. Small. Soft. Raging. I can scream out, “I don’t believe in waves!” But they come. I can shake my fist in the air, shouting, “Stop!”
But they keep coming. “I refuse to accept it!”
The waves splash over my bare legs,
moving the very earth beneath my feet.
They care not that I don’t believe. For it is not my belief that keeps the seas in constant motion.
It is not my belief that makes it so.

God’s unconditional love is like the waves.
It is not there because you or I believe.
He doesn’t continue to love us because we allow it.
No, he loves us because – HE is love.
He cannot do otherwise.

There are no seasons to God’s loving grace. There is not just a little for today and a perhaps a lot for tomorrow. His FULL GRACE is there for us each moment, no matter what.
As we stand on the shifting sands of the rest of our lives . . . just like the ocean waves,
his love and grace continue to flow to us.

Clothe yourself in His grace . . . and walk upon this earth with the knowledge that you are loved completely. There is no condition - not one.
Even when you do not love Him back - He will continue to love you.
If we only accept His gift, without exception, our lives will be brought to the nail-scarred feet of Christ . . .
where there is no doubt, we will find peace.

"All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

"In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins, . . ."
Ephesians 1:7
